It's still a good deal, especially if your home or office has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also extremely quiet and operates when you're at work or in school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming of floors with no floor. And it's less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on very well and can't take on dried-on debris. The Q5 has a self-emptying cradle however. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be swapped for a wet one in minutes.

This mop and vacuum combination features a sleek, circular look that looks much like a Roomba model than the bulky models from the rivals. It's one of our most attractive robot vacuums. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).

It's also the only robot vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our testing. The vacuum has a suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to finish the job. It also comes with "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vacuum works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of your home in accordance with the amount of dirt they tend to be.

If you have a larger home, it is worth selecting a model with a spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to instruct the robot on which part of your house needs to be cleaned with the help of an app or voice control.
